About Us

Flip Films is a Indian Film Production company, based in Mumbai, engaged in producing films and shows with a sharp focus on telling varying mainstream and alternate stories.

 

The company founded in 2023, by Ranjan Singh, a film industry professional with 2 decades of experience in Production, Distribution & Exhibition. In a short span of 2 years, they have produced 5 films in the last 2 years which have premiered at film festivals like Berlinale 2025 (Tiger’s Pond), Clermont Ferrand 2025 (The Last Ride) and their next film ‘Songs of Forgotten Trees’ is premiering in the Orizontti section of the Venice Film Festival, 2025.

They’ve also co-produced Amazon MGM India’s first 2 part film, Nishaanchi, directed by the Indian auteur Anurag Kashyap, and is releasing in theaters worldwide on Sept 19, 2025, while their first children’s film called Little Thomas, a co-production with Civic Studios & Good Bad Films, is set to release in end 2025.

 

Flip is also producing a film with Nicholas Weinstock of Invention Film Co. The film called Incognito, will be directed by Ravi Muppa, and is be the feature length remake of his acclaimed short from the ‘For Your Consideration’ Academy shortlist. They are also producing Prateek Vats’ next film called Chronicles of a Confession, for which they’ve tied up with Anurag Kashyap and Payal Kapadia, to serve as Executive Producers on the film.

Ranjan Singh

Ranjan Singh, is a producer, marketer and distributor of films with an experience of over 22+ years. He has produced content and handled Marketing & PR for leading Entertainment brands like Phantom Films, Good Bad Films, PVR Pictures, INOX and OTT platforms like myNK and Viu. In his last stint at Good Bad Films, he produced films like Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat, which premiered at Marrakesh Film Festival 2022 and Kennedy (both Directed by Anurag Kashyap) which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2023.

In his stint as the Marketing head and Associate producer at Phantom Films, he has worked on films like Lootera, Queen, Masaan, NH10, Ugly, Bombay Velvet, Udta Punjab, Raman Raghav 2.0, Hunterrr, Trapped etc. Ranjan has been an independent distributor of acclaimed documentaries like Supermen of Malegaon, Leaving Home : The Life and Music of Indian Ocean, and Katiyabaaz, and independent films like Chintu ka Birthday, Eeb Allay Ooo, Kastoori etc.

In the interim he founded VDOVIDEO, a specialist agency for creating Marketing units, for films and web shows. Some of their key Marketing campaigns for films and shows including Visual promotions for Danis Tanovic’s TIGERS, Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz and Geetu Mohandas’ Moothon. In one of his stints, he was also the Content consultant for CreativeFirst, a website run by the Motion Pictures Association of America.

Vijayeta Kumar

Vijayeta Kumar is a film director and writer based in Mumbai. Her debut short, Blouse won Best Short Film at the New York Indian Film Festival. Her other short, Sunny Side Upar, streams on Netflix as part of the anthology Zindagi in Short - notably shot with one of India's first all-women crews.

Her latest film, Kicking Balls, was produced by Academy Award winner Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment. Now streaming on Waves, it had a strong festival run, winning Best Short Documentary at the United Nations Association Film Festival and Best Docu Short at NYIFF 2022.

She also directed She Builds, a six-part series on women start-up founders for National Geographic and Disney+ Hotstar, released in March 2022 and nominated for an Asian Academy Creative Award in Singapore.

 

Vijayeta has two feature scripts in development. She began her career assisting the acclaimed director Pamela Rooks, along with several other directors on Hindi feature films and television commercials. She has also styled A.R. Rahman and Priyanka Chopra for the Oscars and magazine covers, and written essays for Condé Nast Traveller, Marie Claire, and Femina.

Born in Ajmer and raised across India as a child of the para-military forces, she grew up trading in math for pop culture, writing, and theatre - a path that led her to study film at AJKMCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and move to Mumbai.
